George Sampson, 14, a street dancer from Warrington is the winner of Britain’s Got Talent with his break-dancing twist on classic Singing In The Rain dance routine.
George auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent last year but failed to make the finals, but this year he returned more determined and his determination saw him triumph.
George beat the bookies’ favourites Faryl Smith, and eScala, neither of them made the final three.
In second place came Bhangra dancers Signature.
Third place went to singer Andrew Johnston.
George will now perform at the Royal Variety Peformance before Prince Charles, and he’ll receive £100,000.
After being declared the winner, George cried tears of joy and said, “I’m speechless, wow. Just thanks so much. You have changed my life I couldn’t have asked for anything else.â€
Simon Cowell told George, “George, let me tell you are the dancing version of Rocky. You deserve everything. You’ve battled your way to the top. Congratulations.â€
